About The Event
The Spaniels are an American R&B doo-wop group best known for the classic hit “Goodnite, Sweetheart, Goodnite.” Formed in 1948 at Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana, the group grew out of early collaborations between Billy Shelton and Pookie Hudson. Hudson later created the first official version of The Spaniels.
After several lineup changes, Shelton returned as bass singer and became the group’s leader following Hudson’s death in 2007. Now performing as “The Spaniels Forever,” Shelton continues the legacy with Patrick Pitre, Gene Stewart, and Dan Porter, delivering timeless Spaniels hits in four-part harmony.
